a girl and her bunny…

ever since ella was prob 10 weeks old she developed a love for this bunny. we call him “bunny” and for some reason or another deemed him a boy. i have no idea when it started but she lurves to suck his ears….and because she loves to suck his ears..they are now stained this disgusting shade of brown.

but he makes her happy.

that last one is only because she is cute.
i too had a bunny…a ‘fisher price security blanket bunny’…and i would suck my thumb and with the other hand i would rub the satin trim between my pointer finger and thumb…and when it got too warm i would move to another spot…weirdo!

does your little one have “friend” and do they have any strange things they like to do to them? or did you have a “friend” growing up?

I didn’t have a blanket when I was a kid but my brother did. It was actually-no joke- a silk sleep shirt of my moms. (sexxxxyyy) He carried it around until it fell apart and then carried around shreds of it till he was probably 6 or 7.

PS: Ella and her green pants make me want to die. So cute.

i think i’m going to win the “most revolting childhood habit” award for this: i had a snuggly blanket with silk trim when i was a baby/toddler, and apparently i used to suck my thumb while using my index finger to STUFF THE CORNER OF THE BLANKET UP MY NOSE. on a continual basis. like, every single day.

not only did my parents never put a stop to this behavior, they actually encouraged it! they would laugh and take pictures, which of course i interpreted as praise for my lovely trick! and so it continued, probably until a wildly inappropriate age (or until the blanket fell apart, whichever came first.) *sigh* i think my mom sill has that sad old blankie hanging around somewhere, complete with the so-deemed “dirty corner”, in all it’s filthy glory…

at present, poppy doesn’t really have a comfort item. but if she ever adopts one you can bet your sweet ass no part of it will make its way up her nose! at least if i have any say in the matter.

oh, and as per usual ella is way too adorable. love these pictures! cheers!

    ;D

I wish she would love one. I’ve heard it can help with sleep training, something we desperately need to attempt if don’t want to be those people on Supernanny who’s eight year old still sleeps with them.

lena…does she nap on her own? if she does just force a little “friend” on her…tuck it in her arm when you put her down….we did this with bunny. now he is a bedtime staple! if your consistent enough it could work :) good luck!!!!
